This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable Reader Mode to distill page in Google Chrome for your account in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.ĮXAMPLE: Using "Toggle reader mode" in Google Chrome for viewing of simplified web pageĢ Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter. If you disable Reader Mode in Google Chrome, Toggle reader mode will not be available in the "Customize and control Google Chrome" (3 dots) menu. Toggle reader mode will be available in the address bar and "Customize and control Google Chrome" (3 dots) menu for sites that support using reader mode. The Reader Mode feature does this by removing (distilling) all unnecessary elements (ex: ads, menus, scripts, etc.) from the web page. When you enable Reader Mode in Google Chrome, you can use Toggle reader mode on a web page for a simplified view of the web page for easier reading.
